Business Controller (BC)  is finance, business and commercial minded. He/She partners up with functions in- and outside of finance. He is active, aggressive, externally focused and future oriented. With his/her strong network in other functions (sales, marketing, HR), he/she will build business plans and define ways to identify gaps and opportunities. In order to really know what drives the business, he/she defines ways to measure and report on the key indicators of it. BC is more focused on P&L than Balance Sheet and needs to think of ways to identify cost saving opportunities and efficiency gains. 

Main responsibilities

  • Drive financial planning processes (budget, forecast, goals)
  • Analyze business performace and management (KPI, insights)
  • Analyze and explain business results (sales, revenue and cost controlling)
  • Build business and financial reporting and business cases
  • Business advisor with focus on support decision-making
  • Variance, profitability and ad hoc analysis



  • Focus on business controlling for Czech Rep. and Slovakia (CZ/SK)
  • Report to SEE Business Controller, fully support CZ/SK Financial Controller and CZ/SK finance team
  • Business model optimizations/changes (Analyze processes and propose optimizations)
  • Management reporting, Budget & Forecast as Business partner for cross-border functions
  • Participation on finance month-end/year-end closing activities and reporting for group finance
  • Proactively cooperating with key stakeholders from other departments, especially Sales
  • Taking part in cross functions projects
  • Implementation of corporate guidances
  • Focusing on business risks analyses, minimizing them by different ways of internal controls
  • Running weekly sales pack reporting for management
  • Project work to handle and improve the contractual Terms & conditions to the trade
  • Sales Incentives calculation
  • Product profitability ownership
  • Regular processing of ad-hoc analyzes

What do we require?

  • University Degree, ideally in Finance, Business Development
  • English on an advance level
  • Fluent in czech
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (contingency tables, complex functions)
  • Communicativeness, analytical thinking
  • Minimum 2 year experience in business data analysis
  • Have the ability to analyse and draw conclusions from complex data
  • Enjoy seeking new and creative solutions to business problems
  • Possess communication and social skills
  • Are highly motivated and open to the international environment
  • BI tools is an advantage (power BI, qlikview)
